The Elder Abuse Awareness and Prevention Program for Teens is an educational program aimed at increasing awareness among the general teen population. The central goals of the program are to provide teens with the tools to recognize and prevent elder abuse in their own lives and to empower teens to be active in decreasing the incidence of elder abuse in their community.
This is an easy to administer and effective educational program designed for teens that can be used by teachers, school counselors, community groups, or simply anyone interested in the topic. Specifically, the program includes the following:

The lesson can be presented within one 50-60 minute period. Follow-up activities (Discussion Questions) can be assigned for homework or re-visited on a subsequent meeting.
